The intelligent enterprise can use complexity growth as a competitive weapon, suggesting new changes, creative answers, original paths to explore the possibilities, effective ways to share and exchange knowledge in the production path.

To achieve these performances, the intelligent enterprise starts from two strategic choices: a) concentrate attention and investments on intangible aspects of the production process, moving the enterprise focus from the production of material goods to the creation and enhancement of ideas; b) work in a network, with other manufacturers, specialized in complementary competences and activities, building up production paths, where each one puts his skills into ideas service.
