Team Leader – Strategic VET Management Adviser (at least 320 working days over 18 months)

Location:
While the main project office will be located in Zagreb, in premises provided by the Main Project Partner, specific meeting, seminars and/or workshops will be arranged in different places throughout the country.
The project will last 18 months and it's scheduled to start in March 2010.
Qualifications and skills:
- University degree;
- an MA in education and/or education management and/or business administration and/or HRD is considered to be an asset;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
General professional experience:
- 10 years professional experience in VET out of which at least 3 years at a senior management positions in a government institution for VET or equivalent institution dealing with VET;
- 1 year of work experience in transition and/or pre-accession countries is an asset;
- 3 years experience acting as a Team Leader within the framework of EU programmes.
Specific professional experience:
- experience in implementation of IVET & CVET policy objectives;
- 5 years of experience in strategic planning of VET agency activities and/or capacity building, in a government institution for VET or equivalent institution within the context of a national VET reform;
- experience in organisational restructuring / overall institutional strengthening within a VET agency or equivalent body;
- experience in conducting the research activities in the field of VET is an asset;
- experience in leading change management processes and/or reforms in public sector organisation in the field of education, the field of VET would be considered an asset;
- experience in dealing with the various general and/or VET-related quality assurance mechanisms/tools.
