Technical consulting

In the European Union lexicon the term "technical assistance" refers to a set of consultancy activities aimed at strengthening the programming capacities of the Public Administration in the implementation of interventions co-financed by the Structural Funds and Community Programmes. In a more general sense, the technical assistance activity is part of the capacity building activity, aimed at strengthening the competences and the governance capacities of the Public Administration in the various policy areas.

Management and control systems

The management and control system brings together processes and activities sometimes very different from each other (in terms of subject, reference legislation, objectives, procedures, placement, etc.) but all aimed at promoting a more effective and efficient management of human, financial and instrumental resources of the PA, through continuous monitoring of implementation programmes, processes, activities and organisation. This has been done in a logic of both internal and external accountability, to better "account" the activities in terms of behavioral, administrative, managerial, strategic and economic transparency.

Rating

The evaluation activity has the essential task of verifying that public resources are managed efficiently. For this reason, it is a tool available to public authorities to make themselves accountable to citizens about the results of the policies put in place.

Internationalisation, networks and cooperation

Operating from an international and network perspective has now become a fundamental imperative for both public administrations and businesses.

Only by internationalizing, in fact, a public administration, a territory, an enterprise can draw on circuits of resources that allow it to be competitive outside.

Monitoring systems

Monitoring consists of constant monitoring of the progress and results of a programme and tends to promote better management and effectiveness of policies. In particular, it responds to the need for information and transparency about the progress made in the implementation of policies towards the various stakeholders.
